a year agoIf I could leave a 0 I would. My partner and I attended an open home at one of Sam’s properties. The property was set for auction however we thought we would submit a generous offer. On the initial call to Sam, we explained we had pre approval and wanted to submit an offer on the property. Instantly we were greeted with attitude and dismissal on a simple enquiry about submitting an offer (not even sending the offer). Instead of offering a potential customer with pre approval other options in this case, we were told to not contact him with an offer (completely within our right to do so). That should have been our first red flag, but we loved the property and didn’t want to let one bad interaction take away from our future home. We submitted a generous formal offer at 1:17pm, and by 1:23pm we were told the offer was declined and the owner will be going to auction. A whole 6 minutes to properly discuss the offer with the vendor.. Due to the unlikely turn around of the decline we rang Sam who proceeded to verbally abuse me after I reminded him he has to show the offer to his client, again possible buyers with pre approval (that actually was over what the property sold for at auction) and we were treated like genuine wastes of his time. I would also like to note in an unprofessional conduct, Sam left the vendors phone number on the contract, when we contacted them he then blamed us for breaching conduct (he was the one who breached his own clients privacy lol). Hopefully whoever reads this can steer away from the nightmare that is interacting with Sam.
