Have encountered RG Settlements (solicitor Farris and admin Ashayla) through Google Search and this is my experience so far. It is a not a thoroughly disappointing experience but not a practice I would further recommend to my family and friends as well. I hope this comment will give a more honest picture rather than all the “good” reviews on there. I will be settling my home on Monday (online, was never invited or been to their office) and will further addit to my comments if there is any remedy. Farris is a very knowledgeable solicitor, easygoing and has a good sense of what clients need. I’d say he provides clear and reasonable advice if you have a face-to-face or verbal conversation with him. He is a good lawyer. What I am somewhat disappointed about is the lack of communication from the practice itself. I feel I had to constantly chase them up for response and initiate contact from my end to have my questions answered. This of course, is my subjective feeling which I have privately escalated to them. They have communicated what’s needed for settlement, on a basic and legally necessary level , but I felt they could do more in terms of being more initiative in communication and helping me to initially understand the whole process of settlement (in a call rather than in a long elaborated email which left me confused and clueless). I hope they’d take this feedback positively. You are very welcomed to engage their service and see if this has been remedied. Addit 13/6 7.20pm : I have been in touch with the settlement company and I’m glad that they have addressed my concerns and actioned appropriately as per my request.
